The boot performance of the new Windows 7 has been discussed rather extensively and many are debating about it. Michael Fortin who leads the Fundamentals feature team that is part of the Core Operating System group discussed it only recently. He discussed about the mean boot time of several million user systems. He said that many systems boot between 20 and 60 seconds while some take more than 600 seconds.
